Pressure Washing in Ardmore, PA

Power washing and soft washing for Ardmore’s a mix of 1920s stone twins, singles and later infill, on smaller Main Line lots.

Ardmore is the most mixed street-by-street housing stock on the Main Line. A single block can hold a 1920s stone twin, a stucco single and a post-war infill house, which means the correct method changes from one property to the next rather than one town to the next.

The house next door is not a guide to yours

Because the stock is mixed, what worked on your neighbor's elevation may be exactly wrong for yours. Stone, stucco and vinyl sit side by side here. Every quote starts by identifying the actual substrate rather than assuming the street.

Smaller lots put everything close together

Ardmore lots are tighter than Wayne or Villanova, so beds, fences, cars and the neighbor's wall are all within reach of any overspray. Protection and rinse-down matter more here, and working with the wind rather than into it stops being optional.

Stone twins on the Haverford side

South Ardmore, on the Haverford Township side, has stone twins and singles from the same era as Havertown's, with the same concrete walks and the same shaded north walls. Our Havertown work, about two miles away, is the best preview of what those houses look like cleaned.

Steps and walks that get used

Plenty of Ardmore homes are a walk from the station and downtown, and their front steps and walks see heavy use. Those are the surfaces worth doing every year: they take the most foot traffic, they grow the most slippery film in shade, and they are the first thing a visitor sees.

Front porches and painted trim

Ardmore's older homes often have front porches and painted trim. Porch floors collect grime that rain never reaches, and painted ceilings and railings hold mildew in the corners. Concrete floors get a surface cleaner and painted wood gets hand work at low pressure, so the porch comes out clean without losing paint.

Merion Golf Manor and the shaded streets

Neighborhoods like Merion Golf Manor, beside the golf club, and South Ardmore sit under mature trees. That shade is why so many Ardmore front walks and north walls go green, and why a yearly clean tends to suit them better than waiting several years.

Know The Town

Ardmore, in brief.

Ardmore was called Athensville in 1853, and the Pennsylvania Railroad renamed it Ardmore in 1873. It sits at milepost 8.5 on the Main Line, on both sides of the county line, in Lower Merion Township and Haverford Township, and its motto is The Main Street of the Main Line.

Suburban Square opened in 1928 as one of the earliest shopping centers in the United States, and in 1930 Ardmore got the nation's first suburban branch of a major department store, Strawbridge and Clothier. In the mid-2000s residents fought a plan to take historic downtown buildings by eminent domain, and their fight helped bring a 2006 state law limiting eminent domain for private projects.

On the Haverford Township side, the neighborhood first sold as Ardmore Park is now usually called South Ardmore, and the Merion Golf Club East Course and Pont Reading there are on the National Register of Historic Places.

Ardmore is bordered by Wynnewood to the east, Haverford to the west, Gladwyne to the north and Havertown to the southwest. Downtown centers on Lancaster Avenue, Rittenhouse Place and Cricket Avenue, with the train station just south of Suburban Square.

Ardmore Questions

Answered for this town specifically.

How much does pressure washing cost in Ardmore?
Quotes in Ardmore are free and specific to your property: which surfaces, how big they are, how dirty and how easy to reach. You get one clear number within 24 hours, and that is the number you pay. We are fully insured, and we take cash, card or check.
How do you decide the method for my house?
By identifying what the wall actually is. Stone, stucco, vinyl and painted wood all sit on the same Ardmore blocks and they need genuinely different handling, so the substrate decides, not the postcode.
My beds and my neighbor's wall are right up against the house. Is that an issue?
It is the normal situation here and it is handled by preparation - beds pre-wetted and rinsed afterwards, adjacent surfaces protected, and work done with the wind rather than into it.
Do you serve both the Lower Merion and Haverford sides of Ardmore?
Yes, both. Ardmore straddles the county line, and we serve all of it, along with Wynnewood and Narberth next door.
How close is your nearest job to Ardmore?
Our Havertown jobs are about two miles away: a whole-exterior twin, a flagstone patio and a gutter brightening on a white cape, all in our portfolio.
Can you clean my porch without hurting the paint?
Yes. Painted porch floors, railings and ceilings get a soft wash by hand, never a pressure wand held close, so the paint stays put.
My neighbor's half of the twin was just washed. Can you match it?
Yes. We clean your half and stop cleanly at the party line. Because both halves are the same stone and the same age, a fresh clean on your side usually sits right beside your neighbor's.
Do you serve all of Ardmore?
Yes, all of Ardmore (19003), including the streets around Suburban Square, Wynnewood Road, Spring Avenue, Ardmore Avenue and Haverford Road. If you are just outside it, you are very likely covered too. Check our service areas or ask when you request a quote.
What do Ardmore homeowners book most?
House Soft Washing. Low-pressure soft washing that lifts algae, mildew and road film off vinyl siding, stucco, brick and painted trim without forcing water behind it. It suits Ardmore’s a mix of 1920s stone twins, singles and later infill, on smaller Main Line lots, and it costs least booked with the rest of the property in one visit.
