Pressure Washing in Newtown Square, PA
Power washing and soft washing for Newtown Square’s larger newer colonials with stucco, EIFS and stone-front elevations.

Newtown Square is the newest and largest housing stock we work on, and the one with the most at stake in choosing the right method. Stucco and EIFS elevations on big modern colonials are the single most damage-prone surface in the county under a pressure washer.
EIFS is not stucco, and the difference matters
Traditional stucco is a hard cement render. EIFS - synthetic stucco - is a thin acrylic finish over foam board, and it is soft enough to mark with a fingernail. A pressure tip will breach it, and once water is behind an EIFS wall it does not come back out. Everything on these elevations is low pressure, no exceptions, and we identify which one you have before quoting.
Height is the other constraint
A two-and-a-half story colonial with gables puts the top of the wall well beyond a safe ladder position. Soft washing is the method that reaches it properly from the ground, which is both safer and more even than working a wand off a ladder at the third rung from the top.
Old stone next to new stucco
Newtown Square is one of the few places where a 19th-century stone farmhouse and a newer stucco colonial can share a road. The two need opposite handling: old stone and its mortar want a careful, tested rinse, and synthetic stucco wants no pressure at all. We identify what each wall is made of before we quote, so neither gets the other's method.
Stone walls, steps and terraces
Estates and older properties here often have stone retaining walls, stone steps and terraces that have never been cleaned. Stone holds decades of growth in its joints. It cleans up well with patience and low pressure, and we test a hidden spot first, because the mortar decides how hard any of it can be rinsed.
Pollen, road film and open lots
Much of Newtown Square's newer housing sits on open lots with young trees, and those houses collect more pollen and road film than algae, especially near West Chester Pike. That grime is dusty and greasy rather than green. A soft wash with the right solution lifts it, and a yearly clean keeps light-colored stucco and siding from turning dingy.

See That JobNewtown Square, in brief.
Newtown Square is the post office name for Newtown Township, which first appears in the records in 1684. Most of its early settlers were Welsh Quakers, who laid out Goshen Road in 1687 so they could reach meeting. They finished the Newtown Square Friends Meetinghouse in 1711, and it is still in use.
For two centuries Newtown was farmland, with saw mills and paper mills along Crum Creek and Darby Creek. Stone farmhouses grew by addition as families grew, and in the late 1800s the hunt clubs brought country estates to the rolling hills. The trolley arrived in the 1890s, and after World War II the farms gave way to suburbs. Old stone homes and outbuildings still dot the township between the newer neighborhoods.
Five places here are on the National Register of Historic Places, among them Bartram's Covered Bridge over Crum Creek, the last covered bridge in Delaware County, and the Square Tavern of 1742, childhood home of the painter Benjamin West.
Newtown Township covers about ten square miles, with Crum Creek along its western border and the Springton Lake reservoir to the south. West Chester Pike, Goshen Road and Newtown Street Road are the main routes through, and Broomall is next door to the east. Newtown Township is large, about ten square miles, and many properties come with more ground to clean: longer driveways, more walks and more stone.
