Pressure Washing in Drexel Hill, PA
Power washing and soft washing for Drexel Hill’s 1920s stone twins, rows and Tudor-style singles with deep front porches.

Drexel Hill is stone and porches. Streets of 1920s stone twins and Tudor-style singles with deep covered front porches, stone piers and concrete porch floors, set close together on modest lots. The porch is the front room of the house here, and it is the surface that gets walked on and looked at most.
Stone is strong, the mortar is not
Schist and fieldstone fronts take pressure without complaint. The lime mortar between them, after a century of weather, does not, and pressure set for the stone will wash joints out of the wall. We test on a hidden section and work to what the mortar will take, which is usually well below what the stone would tolerate.
The porch deck and the piers are the job
A covered porch never gets rained on, so it never gets rinsed, and a hundred years of shoe grit and shade algae sit on the deck and up the piers. It is a hand-detail job in the corners and along the skirting rather than an open-slab job, and it makes more visible difference than anything else on a Drexel Hill twin.
A recent Drexel Hill job, front to back
In September 2026 we washed an older stone home here with blue siding on its upper walls. The siding had oxidized to a chalky pale blue, the gutters were streaked, and the driveway, the public sidewalk, the walkways and the covered porch floor had all gone gray. The befores and afters are on this page and in our portfolio, and both homeowners reviewed the work on Google.
Stone below, siding above
Many Drexel Hill stone homes have siding or painted wood on the dormers, the gables or the upper walls. The stone below can take a careful rinse. The siding above wants a soft wash, and if it has faded and chalked, oxidation removal. Treating the house as one surface gets one of the two wrong, which is why we look at both before we quote.

I called Regent Wash out to pressure wash my driveway, sidewalk, walkway, oxidized siding and gutters in my older Drexel Hill home. Juelz came out very promptly, gave me a price and stuck to it. He did a phenomenal job cleaning my homes exterior and stood and until everything was done and done properly. My oxidized siding came very close to the original color, gutters were made pretty much brand new, and my sidewalk, walkway, and driveway was sparkling clean.
Juelz was very meticulous and diligent in his work to ensure I was happy and satisfied with the result. During the job, Juelz would power wash areas, see they weren’t perfect and would do them all over again even when they already looked perfect to me.
The price for the service they provide is absolutely unmatched.
Neighbors have been giving me compliments on how “bright” my house looks after his pressure washing service. If you’re looking to get your house washed or anything around your house power washed, I highly recommend giving them a call!
Thanks Regent Wash!
Drexel Hill, PA
Drexel Hill, in brief.
Drexel Hill is the largest neighborhood in Upper Darby Township, home to more than a third of the township's people, about eight miles from Center City. Haverford Township is to the north, Lansdowne to the southeast, Clifton Heights to the south and Springfield to the southwest, and Darby Creek runs along its southern edge.
Its history runs deeper than its streets. Collen Brook Farm, a house and barn built about 1710 by Abraham Lewis, now belongs to the township and opens to the public on Sundays from May through October. Thornfield, on Garrett Road, was the estate of the abolitionist Thomas Garrett, who later worked as a station master on the Underground Railroad in Wilmington. The Lower Swedish Cabin is one of the neighborhood's best-known landmarks.
The trolley shaped the rest. The lines to Media and Sharon Hill still run through, with stops at Aronimink, Drexelbrook, Drexel Park, Garrettford and Drexeline, and much of the neighborhood grew up around those stops, in stone homes, twins and deep front porches.
Township Line Road forms most of the border with Haverford Township to the north, and State Road, Burmont Road, Garrett Road, Lansdowne Avenue and Marshall Road carry most of the traffic through. Our base in Lansdowne is right next door, about a mile and a half from the middle of Drexel Hill.
